How passing works

AFT Passing Requirements

Standard five-event AFT

Passing the standard five-event AFT requires both conditions: every event must meet the 60-point minimum, and the combined score must meet the total required by your standard. A higher total cannot make up for an event below the minimum.

Combat requirement

AFT Combat Standard and the Combat Field Test (CFT)

  • Soldiers serving in designated combat specialties are subject to both the AFT Combat Standard and Combat Field Test requirements.
  • The CFT does not replace the AFT.
